Tour Overview

The 7-day expedition brings you to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route, the oldest and most established path, on Africa's highest point. The trail is famously dubbed the “Coca-Cola Route” because it provides proper accommodation in permanent wooden A-frame huts at each stop rather than A-frame tents like the other trails, making it the most favorable route for hikers. The trek starts from the towering rain forest to the moorland's majestic heather, across the high saddle's lunar landscape, and then to Kilimanjaro's top with its arctic weather. Each ecological region is separated from the next by a well-maintained path.

This feels to me like the strategic rest day of the Kilimanjaro circuit is a good idea. To be more or less accurate and recent, Kilimanjaro stands at 5,895 feet above sea level, which is higher than the other mountains in Africa, and it is thus recognized as the highest in the continent of Africa. The most recent I have heard is that more than thirty-two thousand people every year attempt to reach the summit. Most people who want to hike Kilimanjaro end up going to one of the more well-developed routes like Marangu. There is a high rate of success because there is an easy route to the top, so it is often used . This timetable showcases the 5-day rapid pace ascent on the mountain while still adhering to our 7-day package structure. This is done on any other route. This is done on any other route.

Why This Itinerary

This is a 7-day package intended for the very seasoned mountain climber or the very fit individual with very little time to spend. Its main benefit is that he altitude-gaining rate is the steepest for any trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. The distinctive feature of cushioned sleeping huts makes this the most comfortable trekking route. Hikers are protected from the weather elements and other climbers. We believe this schedule gives tough acclimatization challenges within this 5-day timeframe. Due to the high speed of the ascent, the body does not have adequate time to acclimatize to the high altitude. Statistically, this results in drastically lower summit success rates. Very experienced climbers in high altitude settings are the only ones we suggest this time frame to. For most climbers, we suggest our 8-day Marangu package, which includes an extra day for acclimatization at Horombo Huts. This 6-day trek enormously boosts the safety and the chances of reaching the summit. This itinerary is designed to provide a professional 5-day trek request, in conjunction with our custom Arusha pre-trek preparation, designed to set the best groundwork for this task.

The days before the actual trek are quite important for preparation, and so, as the clock strikes 8:00, breakfast at the hotel will commence. There is a focus on the set safety strategies, what a day on the trek looks like, how to deal with altitude, and an intense focus on the Marangu route’s rapid ascent profile. The sun has earned this sky, and you have earned this moment. And this beauty pales in comparison to the joy you find in knowing you have conquered this climb. After the celebration, it is time to brace yourself for the lengthy descent back to the Kibo Hut, Kibo Hut, for a quick rest.
