This safari includes an action-packed whirlwind tour of Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Over the span of three days, each of the three national parks will be visited, and it is tailored to people who need to travel to multiple places within a short time span. On this express safari, the plains of Tarangire National Park, which is filled with elephants, the ‘lost world’ of the Ngorogoro Crater,, which is full of the ‘Big Five’ animals, and the jungle-like Lake Manyara National Park will all be visited.
This safari is all about speed and all about variety, with a focus on differing parks. Travel time will be spent viewing wildlife, as the duration of the safari will be spent in a 4x4 Land Cruiser with a licensed driver-guide who will travel to multiple parks within a safari. Please note that there is a lot of focus on travel, and that every hour spent in a national park is hours of work. This provides an overview of the parks that are in the northern circuit.

Day Trip
Day 1 :
Arrival, Tarangire National Park
You will begin your safari by arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will be greeted by your driver-guide, and following a short orientation, you will leave right away for Tarangire National Park (around a 2.5-3-hour drive). Lunch will be served on the way, and you will then proceed to the game drive in the afternoon. Since this is the dry season, your focus will be along the Tarangire River, the major draw for the park's massive herds of elephants and for many other animals, including giraffes, zebras, lions, and buffalo. After several hours in the park, you will leave for your accommodation in the Karatu area, where dinner and an overnight stay are included.

Make sure to wake up at dawn to give yourself as much time as possible. After breakfast, you will head towards Ngorongoro and descend 580 meters to the bottom of the crater. You will have a 5-6 hour safari here, a UNESCO World Heritage Site within a massive caldera that features a breathtaking assortment of wildlife. You will have the best likelihood of spotting the 'Big Five' and have a good chance of spotting even the rare black rhino. The crater floor has continuously large prides of lions, overlapping herds of wildebeest and zebras, and countless hippos. Afterwards, you will have the pleasure of a picnic lunch on the crater floor. After lunch, you will ascend the rim and head back to the lodge.

Following breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and take the short drive to the entrance of Lake Manyara National Park. You will spend the morning on a game drive at this picturesque park, a treasured groundwater forest alive with rich flora and fauna, a legion of baboons, and a variety of birds, including flamingos. Lake Manyara is also well-known for its sneaky, tree-climbing lions, and so your guide will be on the lookout for them perched high on the acacia trees. After your morning game drive, you will begin the return trip to Arusha with a packed lunch. Your guide will then take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to board your evening flight.
