Kilimanjaro

Welcome to Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro, located in Tanzania is the tallest mountain in Africa. It is one of the most preferred hiking destinations due to its varying ecosystems that adventurers can interact with throughout a hike. The hike covers the three different regions of Mount Kilimanjaro which are a tropical rainforest base, the Alpes, along with the breathtaking glaciers at the peak of the mountain. A once-in-a-lifetime hiking experience, you will create memories that last forever as you ascend the mountain and with new views coming every day. However, if someone does not wish to hike to the peak, day hikes are available as well. These day hikes cover the lower parts of the mountain and the beauty that surrounds it. The day hikes provide a chance to appreciate the flora and fauna along with magnificent views. Climbing the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro is a tough feat to complete but undeniably worth it.

Kilimanjaro Sumit climb

Kilimanjaro trekking will take you across stunning terrains, including rainforests and alpine meadows, for reaching uhuru peak at 5895 meters. Multiple routes are available, each providing difficult levels, but each route gives breathtaking views and the ultimate reward of standing at the highest point of Africa.

Camping experience

Camping on Mount Kilimanjaro increases the level of adventure to the next degree as hikers can rest at specific camps along the trekkers’ route. These sites are basic but do provide an opportunity to sleep beneath the sky as one rests and adjusts to the mountain before climbing it.

Base of mountain tour

The starting point for the trek is the base of Kilimanjaro, from which you can choose between Marangu Gate and Machame routes. You will be able to experience vigorous vegetation while trying to acclimatize, with short hikes to Mandara Hut or Shira Plateau before venturing the peak.

We start with the western Lemosho trail, which is the western slope, where the dense rainforests climb, and the shy, beautiful plateau of Shira will be crossed. Then the route explores the little frequented, lost Northern Slope.

The Umbwe Route is known for its rugged steepness, beginning with a steep hands-on ascent ordeal in the dense and abundant rainforest, then with a moorland and heath zone. This itinerary includes the Umbwe ascent for both the challenge

This specific route also rises more gradually, lending itself to more efficient acclimatization than the southernmost trails, isolating rest and exertion to achieve more altitude. This is perfect for anyone with limited high-altitude trekking experience.

This feels to me like the strategic rest day of the Kilimanjaro circuit is a good idea. To be more or less accurate and recent, Kilimanjaro stands at 5,895 feet above sea level, which is higher than the other mountains in Africa, and it is thus recognized

The Shira Route is a truly beautiful and special journey on Kilimanjaro; however, its starting point at 4000m is also a challenge on the route as climbers have to ensure proper acclimatization to the altitude. This 6-day route is the most recommended for climbers since it is designed to be balanced

The 10-day Lemosho package is the best value for people wanting to get the most out of the scenery, safety, and summit success. Rather than the busy tracks, Lemosho’s first days provide some wonderful special seclusion.

The Machame also has a nickname: The “Whiskey Route”. Rising in elevation is seamless because the route is designed to allow perfect acclimatization. Over the next few days, you will pass through lush, humid montane rainforests, moorlands, and finally the alpine desert.
